The intent of this Chinese Cultural Enrichment Programme is to supplement school education by providing Chinese cultural activities through lectures, fieldtrips, dialogues and hands-on experiences.
In
introducing the essence of over 5000 years of continuous civilisation, students
will learn the concept of continuity -- the past, present and future. Through
understanding the past, it helps them to develop further understanding of
their present situation, thus enable them to cultivate the ability to cope
with future challenges. Such learning will help prepare them to cope with
this fast changing world of global integration and the coming of knowledge-based
economy.
The programme is also designed to introduce the knowledge of cultural elements
that will help the students in shaping their character. The centre hopes to
encourage the participants to discover and take pride in their own cultural
legacy.
