The East West Cultural Development Centre is a non-profit organisation set up to promote better human relationship in a rapidly integrating world.

We hope to be a forum that brings together concerned individuals and organisation to discuss problems arising from rapid societal changes, and to initiate programmes that can help towards solving such problems.

What are our Concerns?
Societies are undergoing very rapid changes in physical, economic and technological terms. These changes have brought about improved standards of living to some. However, the cultural adjustment needed to keep pace with the physical changes is lagging further and further behind. We find ourselves in a situation where we are embarking into the new knowledge-based economy with a paradigm more suited for the last century.

The result is that many social ills have grown out of this lack of sync between economic and cultural development. This can be seen from the damaged environment, fractured societies, breakdown of the family, the emphasis on individualism and the deterioration of the human spirit.

Many concerned individuals are also questioning the long-term sustainability of the current level of growth and development.
